It’s all hands on deck for Ohio Democrats in Tuesday’s special election, as Danny O’Connor is within one point of his opponent in the campaign for the 12th Congressional District. Polling shows this race will be close, and it’s all going to come down to turnout.
Congresswoman Joyce Beatty is urging Democrats to turn out and vote for Danny O’Connor.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEDICARE!
As Mike Pence came to campaign for Troy Balderson this week, Ohio Democrats celebrated the 53rd anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid and contrasted where the two candidates stand on these vital health care programs.
- According to the Columbus Dispatch, Troy “Balderson did not support Ohio’s Medicaid expansion and would raise the age of eligibility for Medicare and Social Security.”
- In contrast, Danny O’Connor “views Medicare and Social Security as earned social contracts and would not raise eligibility ages” and also backs Gov. John Kasich’s Medicaid expansion.
OBAMA ENDORSES OHIO DEMOCRATS
President Barack Obama has made his first round of endorsements for the 2018 cycle — and there are 16 Ohio Democrats on the list.
