Celebrating Homecoming with Central State University before heading off to Dayton
It was a cold morning at Central State University, but Homecoming spirit kept us warm! We brought the #PeopleFirst Bus to Wilberforce and joined Congresswoman Joyce Beatty at her alma mater’s homecoming to talk to voters about our Blueprint for Ohio. We danced to music, connected with voters and ate some incredible tailgate food.
We picked up Theresa Gasper running for Congress in OH-10 and headed over to Dayton where we met up with a ton of other Democrats — Montgomery County Treasurer and candidate for Montgomery County Commissioner Carolyn Rice, State School Board candidate Dawn Wojcik, Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Russ Joseph, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith, Montgomery County Recorder Brandon McClain, Montgomery County Commissioner and candidate for State Representative in HD43 Dan Foley, House Democratic Leader Fred Strahorn, Trotwood City Council Member Yvette Page, candidate for Court of Common Pleas Magistrate Gerald Parker and candidate for State Senate in SD5 Paul Bradley.
With this awesome crew on board the #PeopleFirst Express, we headed off to our tour of Dayton barbershops and beauty salons before hitting up a coffee shop to talk with small business owners and patrons about how Democrats are fighting for them.
So long, Dayton — but no worries, we’ll be back soon! 24 days to go.
