So maybe we didn’t pack our costumes on today’s #PowerTheBlackVote Tour stops, but we’re still celebrating! It’s the last day of October, which means the election is just around the corner.

We kicked off the morning with a meet and greet with pastors and were so excited to join Sen. Sherrod Brown and statewide candidates Rob Richardson, Kathleen Clyde, and Judge Michael Donnelly.

For most of the day, we were also joined by the MSNBC news crew on the Big Blue Bus — it was great having them along for the ride to capture all of the enthusiasm we’re seeing across the state.

Did you catch my *accidental* television debut?

Our next stop was in Canton for a GOTV rally where our statewide candidates Sen. Sherrod Brown, Betty Sutton, Rob Richardson, Kathleen Clyde and Judge Michael Donnelly joined Congressional candidate Ken Harbaugh and a number of local candidates running for everything from the Statehouse to city council.

We had a reception next door at Toddy B’s where we heard from these candidates who are working around the clock to win big in six days.

Because you can never have too much good food during when you’re working to win an election, we stopped by Ann’s Place Diner in Akron to meet the owners and grab a bite to eat. Our recommendation — try the ribs.

And for our final stop — we got to wish Sen. Vernon Sykes a happy birthday while celebrating Halloween and working hard to get out the vote!

Happy Halloween — only six days to go!
