In Ohio and across the country, folks are having to make incredibly difficult choices — whether they can pay their rent and put food on the table or afford their life-saving medication.

The rising cost of prescription drugs is one that affects Ohioans across the state — and the problem is getting worse. The cost of insulin in the U.S. has tripled over the last decade, and as many as one in four patients are skimping on or skipping the insulin they need to survive.

That’s why Democratic lawmakers in Columbus and D.C. are putting forward laws that would curb the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs.

Meanwhile, House Democrats on the national stage are pushing for their own bills to make prescription medication more affordable for American families.

While Democrats in Ohio and in D.C. are working on these life-saving bills, the Republicans are standing firmly in the way.

Donald Trump made big promises on the campaign trail to deal with rising prescription drug prices, but now that it’s time to walk the walk, he’s caving in to Big Pharma and turning his back on everyday Americans.
