Building a Blue Wave by the Lake
Marblehead → Sandusky → Norwalk
There’s no better place for a photographer to go than a beautiful lake on a beautiful day. So when the #PeopleFirst Bus made plans along the water, we made a couple sightseeing stops to get some pictures, too.
Stop one in Marblehead — at the recommendation of locals, we checked out the gorgeous lighthouse on the water.
Then it was off to Sandusky — while Chairman David Pepper ran off for an interview with press and Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur. I took the bus to scout out Cedar Point across the water. Anyone wanna go ride coasters after the election?
After that, it was off to the Erie County Board of Elections to meet up with a ton of exciting Democratic candidates for a press conference — we joined candidate for Lt. Governor candidate Betty Sutton, former Mayor of Cleveland Jane Campbell, candidates for Ohio Supreme Court Judge Michael Donnelly and Judge Melody Stewart, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, candidate for Ohio House Joe Helle and candidate for Erie County Commissioner Julie Farrar.
Our final stop of the day was with a fired up crowd in Norwalk, who couldn’t wait to see our Big Blue Bus! They’re excited to spend the next 13 days working hard to elect Democrats, and we’re excited to have them on our team.
In other news (pun definitely intended), we’ve been making a lot of front pages lately. Check out this compilation of the #PeopleFirst Bus in the news — take it away, Willie!
13 days to go!!!!
