Hey, it’s me again — Claire from the bus!

With the momentum from launch day right behind us, it was time to get down to the hard work of sharing our Blueprint for Ohio with folks all over the state.

Today’s trip first took us to the Coshocton County Fair and the Tuscarawas County Courthouse before we rounded off the evening with a conference in Salem and the bus’s debut Blue Cocktail Hour.

In Coshocton, we met up with Democrats celebrating at the county fair! It was amazing to see our friend Melinda Miller, who’s running for the State Senate in District 31. Of course, I insisted on making time to stop and find some of the finest fried food Coshocton County had to offer.

Hi, Melinda!!! 👋👋👋
Find someone who looks at you the way I look at fair fries.

Next stop: Meeting up with our squad in New Philadelphia just outside the Tuscarawas County Courthouse. The town was freakin’ gorgeous, just like the countryside all around it.

Dems in New Philadelphia have their Nerds for Cordray shirts — if you want to get one for yourself, stop by one of our many events and ask me for one!

In New Philadelphia, we chatted with a couple of awesome candidates: Jeremiah Johnson for State House District 98 and Sharon Buckley-Mirhaidari for County Commissioner.

We had to book it to Salem for our next press conference with John Dyce, candidate for HD5. Chairman David Pepper had a long conversation with him about our core Democratic values, the culture of corruption in Columbus and how he’s going to be a champion for accessible health care and strong public schools.

It was a long day, and Ohio has some reeeeeeally long roads (seriously, really really long) — but every bit is beautiful, and it’s full to the brim with some incredible people fighting for a better future.

I can’t wait to see you over the next 34 days!

Do you want to get a photo with the #PeopleFirst bus? Stay tuned, we’re coming to a town near you soon.
