25 Days To Go!
With only 25 days to Election Day, former First Lady Frances Strickland joined us on the bus to travel around Southern Ohio.
From north to south, east to west, we’re taking the #PeopleFirst Bus all over Ohio. Today, we picked up former First Lady Frances Strickland and started early to head to the southernmost point of Ohio (aptly named South Point) for a press conference with Lawrence County Democrats.
In South Point, we heard from Frances, Shawna Roberts who’s running for Congress in OH-6, Scott Dailey running for the State Senate in District 17, Jason Tolliver running for Lawrence County Auditor and Bob McCollister running for Lawrence County Commissioner.
Bob’s a former high school football coach, and his speech was exactly the pep talk you’d expect from a high school football coach — “October is when championships are decided. Let’s go win this.”
Since there was nowhere further south we could travel, we started working our way back up to Portsmouth for our second press conference of the day. Frances, Shawna and Scott came up with us from South Point and were joined by Jill Schiller running for Congress in OH-2, Adrienne Buckler running for the Statehouse in District 90 and Rachel Daehler for Scioto County Prosecutor.

Our next stop was in Waverly for a press conference with Frances, Jill and Scott at our most scenic venue thus far — Lake White. I personally am advocating for all of our events from here on out to have a view this scenic.
We rounded out the day with a quick stop at the Chillicothe Halloween Festival, where we met up with Beth Workman running in HD92 and Frances helped hand out her now-famous Nerds for Cordray shirts.
And (selfishly) the most exciting part of the day for me — I met Don, who’s been following along with the blog every day! So big shoutout to Don in today’s blog.
