17 Days and Counting
The doors await! Onward!
We are rapidly approaching Election Day, and that means there are a lot of doors to knock. That’s why we spent the day bouncing from canvass launch to canvass launch, making sure that people are ready to get out and vote for Democrats all the way down the ticket.
The day started with the Cleveland AFL-CIO’s canvass launch. We joined candidate for Attorney General Steve Dettelbach and candidate for Supreme Court Judge Michael Donnelly, who pumped up volunteers before they grabbed their walk packets and headed out to knock doors (after getting a photo in front of the bus, of course).
Next, it was off to Youngstown for another canvass kickoff — we brought Judge Donnelly to join Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown, Sen. Joe Schiavoni and candidate for Secretary of State Kathleen Clyde to talk with the room before the canvass began.
After a stop for some I N C R E D I B L E barbecue at Charlie Staples BBQ (seriously, y’all have to check this place out), we headed back to Cleveland for a couple quick stops at the Cleveland campaign office (where we met up with candidate for Auditor Zack Space and Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur) and an event with Ward 1 Councilman Joe Jones and Senate Democratic Leader Kenny Yuko.
17 days left on the road — let’s go!
